About Amulet
“[Stephanie Stryker’s] voice is a warm smokey swallow of whiskey on a cold night.”
Biography
Signed to Distortion Productions, Amulet is bass-driven, electro-industrial rock known for their powerful female vocals, bass-forward melodic music, and emotionally charged performances. With a unique blend of pounding electronic beats, ethereal melodies, and driving hard rock elements, Amulet captivates audiences with a sound that is intense and deeply personal. It’s the kind of music that demands attention.
Fronted by the mesmerizing vocals of Stephanie Stryker and the music of multi-instrumentalist MJ Phoenix, the band’s music explores themes of love, loss, and the supernatural, weaving poetic lyrics with rich, atmospheric arrangements and powerful hooks.
Formed in the heart of the United States’ capital city of Washington, DC, Amulet has built a loyal following with their magnetic live performances and immersive, dark aesthetic. Drawing influence from genres such as goth rock, dark wave, industrial metal, post-punk, hard rock, and even neo-folk, the band’s sound defies easy categorization, appealing to fans of both electronic and rock music.
Amulet is the founder of the #girldustrial movement which showcases melodic, vocal-forward goth-industrial music and the unique sonic qualities of female voices. They host the curated Spotify playlist “Girldustrial” to feature other acts in the microgenre.
Amulet's live performance is highly visual, engaging, and dynamic. Stryker's powerful lead vocals deliver the band's emotional lyrics with intensity, Phoenix drives the sound on electric bass and vocals, with guitarist Bobby Carr adding nasty grit, and drummer Anar "Fuego" Delgato serves the dirty hard beats.

About Purification (2025):
You've danced through the darkness, now feel it hit harder.Amulet unleashes Purification: a seven-track EP reimagining the band's most spellbinding moments from their album Katharsis with fresh teeth, bass, and bite.
Featuring club-ready takes from guest artists Interface, Tragic Impulse, The Synthetic Dream Foundation, and Amulet's own sorcery, these tracks pulse with new intensity. From goth rock to industrial, from dirty crunch to progressive dance beats.
This EP also includes the previously unreleased on digital, uncensored version of “Dirty Hard Beats”; it's raw, unapologetic, and finally free to say exactly what it means.
Put on your stompiest boots, turn the lights low, and prepare for a darker, dancier invocation.
Purification is released by Distortion Productions.
About Katharsis (2024):
Written over three years and in multiple countries, female-fronted dark electro-rock band Amulet dives deep into the emotional abyss with this 19-track, 74-minute release of epic proportions.
Every second of this musical journey is intentional, taking you from a bewitching incantation, through driving electro-rock belting, goth rock classics, dirty hard dance floor beats, introspective wailing, and more. You’ll want swishing bell sleeves, stompy dance boots, a box of tissues, and your little black book at hand (to send angry texts to your exes, of course).
Katharsis is released by Distortion Productions.
